Wellness: With Hal Grossman, Professor of Violin-University of Oregon

Wellness classes will be incorporated with weekly group classes, a 15-30 minute stretching, muscle identifcation, breathing techniques skills will be introduced. (time according to age)
Students will learn to Calm performance nerves, and discover techniques to help them play pain free for life. Body Mapping, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method will be explored.
Posture/alignment classes and workshops will compliment the wellness classes. Students will focus on their left and right hand set up, stance and spinal alignment for a healthful approach to playing and performance.
