CAS Rising Stars Performers Program:
This exciting program offers students to achieve recognition and achievement awards, as well as performing experience. There are three tiers of achievement awards:
Repertoire will be chosen by each private teacher and will be selected from appropriate graded material. Here is an example of what a teacher may choose for a student:
- Inspired Performers (Suzuki Books 1-3)
- Rising Artists (Suzuki Books 4-6)
- Virtuosi (Suzuki Books 7 and up)
To achieve this recognition, students must complete a performance memorized, or without music of a program equivalent to a Suzuki book. For example, a teacher may wish a student to participate in ABRSM curriculum - a globally recognized music education and testing association. This can be done:
- In a child's lesson for their teacher
- Virtually for family and friends
- A private performance for the family and friends can be done at the FAC recital hall.
Please speak to your private teacher for details.
CAS-Young Artist Recital Series:
End of the year recital celebration:
Students who are highly prepared will be selected to perform in an end of the school year recital that will take place for family and friends in the FAC recital hall. Students will need to submit a pre-screening video with their pianist if warranted. Chamber Music groups will also have the opportunity to prepare a piece to be performed on the recital.
This performance opportunity is not based on performance level, however, preparation. We want our students to enjoy performing and to be proud of their musical presentation. Great preparation inspires success and builds confidence for sharing with others.
Please see your private teacher for preparation requirements.
